Most asked questions
- Do you ship outside of Texas?
Yes. We ship globally using trusted third-party logistics partners. While we will assist with obtaining delivery quotes, all final shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the client.
- What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged?
Do not sign for the shipment without noting visible damages. If damage occurs, claims must be made directly with the shipping carrier. Chateau Domingue is not liable once goods are released to the carrier.
- Are your reclaimed materials crated before delivery?
All materials will be securely crated and packed with care for safe transport.
- Do you restore materials?
Yes. Chateau Domingue has in-house restoration, alteration, and aging services through our dedicated workshops.
- Do you offer custom orders?
Absolutely. We specialize in bespoke and custom-sourced architectural elements and flooring, including unique materials tailored for specialty projects.
- What makes Chateau Domingue’s materials special?
Each item is curated with care and restored using traditional, ancient techniques and natural ingredients whenever possible. Our mission is to preserve the authenticity and luster of historical elements, and select the best building materials available worldwide.
- Are all your materials shown on your website?
Not always. Our inventory is highly curated and ever-evolving. We recommend reaching out directly for custom inquiries or to source a specific element you may be seeking.
- Can you help if I’m visiting from out of town?
Yes. We are happy to schedule private appointments for clients flying in or working on location-specific projects. We can also prepare tailored vignettes for review during your visit.
- What are your showroom hours?
Our Houston showroom is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments outside those hours can be scheduled by request for out-of-town clients or special presentations.
Terms & Conditions
- Payment & Returns
Balance in full is due prior to pick-up. Chateau Domingue (“CD”) will make every effort to meet your requested pick-up date. However, CD reserves the right to alter pick-up date to ensure quality. All sales are final. However, CD may consider special return or exchange cases. If CD agrees to accept a return, in its sole discretion, a store credit will be issued. All returns of items palletted or crated when sold will incur a 25% restocking fee. Please verify the quantity needed carefully prior to ordering.
- SPECIAL ORDERS
All special orders require a 50% deposit. The balance in full is due upon arrival of special order products into the Port of Houston. Special orders may not be canceled from the fifth day after receipt of deposit. Cancellation fees may apply.
- REPAIRS & ALTERATIONS
All alterations must be paid in full before work begins. Alteration costs will be invoiced separately and must be signed off by the client before pickup. Some loss or breakage may occur during alteration and should be considered in quantity estimates.
- PRODUCT INFO & INSTALLATION
Installation is the responsibility of the client. The use of installers experienced in using reclaimed product is recommended. Any requests for exchanges for excessive variation or obvious defects must be made within 14 days after receipt. Blending materials from all crates or boxes is recommended for optimal installation results. Field measurements should be taken before purchase. No express or implied warranty is made for suitability for any purpose. Natural and reclaimed materials may exhibit irregularities or imperfections.
- PICK-UPS & DELIVERY
Pick-ups and arrangement for delivery of product are the responsibility of the client. While CD may provide a courtesy quote for delivery, it is ultimately the responsibility of the client to finalize all details (i.e. pricing, delivery time, insurance, etc.) with the carrier. Liability for damage ceases once product has been signed and released to client or common carrier. CD does not assume responsibility for damage or shortage incurred in transit. A claim for any damages should be made to the carrier’s claim department immediately. Please do not accept a shipment which shows damage or shortage without a statement of irregularity on the transportation receipt. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure ease of access for delivery and installation of all pieces.
